i guess 99.9 % of ex-jw's here could have predicted as much .

armageddon didn't happen in 1914. it didn't happen in 1925. it didn't happen in 1975. and it did not happen in 2014. since the wt society first predicted a world's end when their organization started in 1879 - 126 years have passed which according to any dictionary in any human language 126 years comprises of 4 separate generations each totaling 30 years each.

plus 6 years into a 5th generation.

I am glad the Big A did not come. Got to see all those star war movies, star trek TV shows and movies, Avatar, new planet of the apes movies and the big one I got to see the Tampa Bay Buc's win the super bowl in 2002. LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL.

I remember those who sold their homes back in early 70's and went out in service until 1975. I saw the big let down of those in the KH when 1976 came along. When I questioned the Wt. to my father back then about what happened he got so mad at me and said if I keep talking like that Jehovah was going to kill me and they would never talk to me again. That fear keep me in for many years to come. A few months before my dad back in 2009 I said to him the GB has had to made a mistake about 1914. He did not get mad but said they just can't be wrong. Little did I know then he had only a few months to live. He spent a good part of his life pushing their Maz. and living for a dream that will never come true. As I have gotten older I now see what he thought was truth. That truth was something he thought would make his life better and make his family better. I can not fault him for that. Little did he know there are so many other directions one could go to make there life better. I only he could have seen that.

At any rate Happy New Year to you flipper and to all those who are on this board. My wife and I have one of the best Holidays one could have. Filled with lots of friends and good feelings. My wish for this new year is my son's will wake up and see what both my wife and I see and be free of one of the biggest Bull S--t Cults on earth. Take Care. Still Totally ADD

i got an offer in the mail for mother earth magazine.. anyone like it?

im not sure if im a liberal or not, i think its a liberal based format.

My wife and I have been reading Mother Earth since the 1970's. I think it is a great maz. for teaching people about gardening, being more self sufficient, canning, animals, building a house so forth and so on. Here in PA at Seven Springs skiing resort just SE of Pittsburgh they in Sept. every year they have a 3 day Mother Earth Fair. There are 100's of demo's, talks and hands on things to do when it comes to all the things I have just wrote about. I know there are other great maz. out there that does this also like County Side but ME has been a main stay in our household since the 1970's. Funny story, when we was in the Borg we had some friends over and they saw our ME maz. on the coffee table. You would have thought they saw the devil himself when they saw the title of it. I just look at them and told them it is all about gardening and being self sufficient just like the Bible talks about. All they could say was "all that sounds great". My dream was always to live off the land and build my home with the logs on my property. The Borg took that one away from me. I to old now to do all that but I sure plant a mean garden every year and have a few chickens for those great eggs. If you like this kind of thing I would recommend this Maz. very much. missing a lot of the oldies and goodies -- is this site so new, no one has signed on yet?

i am confused... but then, i will have to wait and see what happens.. somehow - change is not the best option but we adjust..have most of the users gone to other locations?.

I am here. But I must be getting old. At this point I don't like the change but as I said I becoming a old dog and it is hard for me to learn new tricks. Besides me and computers have a very hard love and hate relationship. LOL So welcome to the new age. Still Totally ADD I think!!!!!

as we all know, the internet is a real game-changer in allowing us to know the truth about the watch tower and its history.

i always had doubts and it was the internet that presented me with the ever-growing number of individuals who were going through a similar struggle.. i give the internet a 9 in my awakening.

I think it was Jan or Feb of 2010 as Totally ADD then my computer died and I lost my password so I resigned up as Still Totally ADD. My wife just read the question and said see has been here for 61 years. LOL Still Totally ADD

this last monday we got a letter from him telling us how unloving we are because we are no longer jw.

cult and not had kids.

Why were no sea creatures destroyed in the flood?

all the animals on earth were destroyed in the flood of noahs day apart from those in the ark ,apparently no sea creatures were destroyed in the flood , why is that ?.

this is not an issue that only affects jehovahs witnesses , it is one that affects all beleivers that accept the bible as gods word.. obviously sea creatures were not put on the ark , no whales ,no dolphins , no fish , no krill , no plankton etc.

you can fill in the rest .. so my question is , why were land animals / birds singled out for destruction ?, what wrong did they do to deserve this judgement against them .

It was the flood story that woke me up totally. I had all the question answered for me and I came to realize it was not true. So if that was not true what about the rest of the Bible. I liken the flood story to a craftsman building a beautiful house only to find he had one little leak in a water pipe. So instead of fixing the leak he ends up burning down the whloe house to fix the problem and start all over. Makes no sense at all. Still Totally ADD

I will take my time and get my anger under control. I have heard all you wonderfull peoples advice and with the best of my ability take a very loving action with my son. It just hurts when I think of all the things Mrs. ADD and I have done for them and their kids. I have some very good friends now in this area and have been talking to them. They have given advice very close to you all. Also they are learning more about the Wt. Cult they just can't understand or believe. They all told me they thought JW was some weird religion with friendly people who come to their door. Now they see this is not the case. They are also learning what a high mind control cult is all about. Thank you all for your help it has made me feel so much better. Still Totally ADD
